Give a Gift. Change a Life.
Waypoint Needs Your Financial Support More Than Ever
Everyday at Waypoint, we have the opportunity to see how much need there is in the community. And often we get to see how the women and families who come here get the opportunity to make significant changes in their lives. But seldom do we see how these individuals are doing three, four, or ten years later.
But occasionally, we do get to learn how some of our former clients’ lives have changed. Recently I visited with a woman who came to the shelter a few years ago with her two children. After leaving the shelter she moved into transitional housing, got a job, then a better job, a better home, and a new life with her new husband and her two children.
Or there is the woman who was sexually assaulted as a teenager and has reached out to a young woman she knows who has experienced the same tragedy in her life. The woman made certain that this newest victim came to Waypoint for help.
Or the single dad, caring for his five kids, starting his own business and always offering to help others.
All of these stories and many more remind me of how important the work of Waypoint is, and how much we need the support of the community to keep this essential work going. Between now and the middle of January we need to raise $100,000 to ensure that each family who comes to us will someday have a story to tell.

No matter what the amount, every gift has the potential to help make a change in the life of an individual. Every gift moves families closer to achieving their life goals. And every gift lifts up not only those who benefit, but those who have given.
From the entire Waypoint family, we thank you for your support and wish you the very best for the New Year.
