The Waypoint Daytime Resource Program is a drop-in program that provides access to basic needs and support for women and children.
Eligibility
The program is open to all women and children who state they are in need of the supportive services offered by the program.
Services Offered - Affordable Laundry Services: The laundry room includes three commercial grade washers and dryers. To utilize this service, participants may sign-up for two-hour blocks of time at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. Participants are allotted one time slot per day. Laundry costs $2.00 per hour ($4.00 for the two hour slot).
- Skills Training and Seminars: Job and life skills seminars are available on topics such as Legal Aid, Nutrition, Money Management, Healthy Relationships, Moms Support Group, and Women’s Issues Group. To learn of the seminar schedule, click here, visit the program, or call 319-365-7207.
- Food, Toiletries, Linens: Items can be obtained once per month by attending a skills training seminar offered at the program. If participants are employed or in school, it is not a requirement to attend a seminar to receive items, however participants must provide a recent pay stub or current school schedule.
