Weekly Support Groups Offered at Waypoint
Support groups provide a foundation for healing and offer women and children a place to learn they are not alone. All groups offered by Waypoint meet at the main Waypoint building at 318 5th Street SE and are open to new participants at anytime.
Topics for groups may include:
- self-esteem
- building support systems
- healthy relationship dynamics
- coping skills
Groups offered by Waypoint include:
- Teen Talk, Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m., serving young women ages 13 – 16 who are coping with dating violence or sexual assault.
- Women’s Domestic Violence Support Group, Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. and Thursday mornings at 11 a.m.
- Children’s Support Group, Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. (same time as Women’s group). Free, on-site child care is provided for children who are too young to participate in the children’s support group.
- Women’s Sexual Assault Support Group, Monday evenings at 5:30 p.m.
