This Holiday Season Help Families in Need
The Waypoint Wonderland is a celebration that provides holiday gifts, food and toiletries to families served at Waypoint who are living in poverty, homeless, or victims of violence. Last year, Waypoint provided gifts to over 1,000 children in need, age newborn to 18. Each mother also received a gift. We hope the community will help us do it again this year.

at Waypoint (318 5th St SE, downtown Cedar Rapids)
The community is encouraged to join us and bring along unwrapped holiday gift donations, food, and toiletries for families in need at Waypoint. Optional tours of the Waypoint facility every half hour, cookies, and punch will be provided.
DonateWaypoint is in need of gifts for children and women, as well as food and toiletries for the Waypoint shelter. Please deliver unwrapped gifts to Waypoint Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. by Tuesday, December 14, 2010.

VolunteerWaypoint is in need of volunteers to help us sort and distribute gifts to our families.
Coordinate a small group and assist with sorting donations. Three to six volunteers are needed for 8 - 11 a.m. and 12 - 3 p.m. on the following dates:
- November 23
- November 30
- December 2
- December 7
- December 9
- December 13
- December 14.
Volunteer as a personal shopper or gift wrapper during gift distribution.
- Thursday, December 16th at 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. or 6:30 - 9 p.m.
- Friday, December 17th at 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. or 1 - 4 p.m.
TO VOLUNTEER...
- Contact Waypoint at angela.quell@waypointservices.org to sign-up and confirm volunteer position, date, time and number of expected volunteers.
- Each volunteer must complete and return a volunteer application.
- Families are encouraged to participate. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Only children over the age of ten will be allowed to volunteer at gift distribution.
