About Birdies That Care
“Birdies That Care” is a fundraising partnership established by PGA TOUR professional and Cedar Rapids native Zach Johnson and his wife Kim, and AEGON USA. This year, the funds raised through this opportunity will benefit homeless women and children served at Waypoint’s Madge Phillips Center.
For every birdie Zach scores on the 2006 PGA TOUR, he and AEGON will contribute $50 to the Madge Phillips Center at Waypoint, an overnight shelter and daytime resource program that provides women and children in need with food, clothing, guidance and support. For every eagle, they will each donate $100. By adding your pledge to theirs, you can add to the power of each birdie Zach makes. You’ll also help to improve the lives of women and children in difficult circumstances.
Please take time to make your donation, and be sure to track Zach’s progress in the Cedar Rapids Gazette or at www.pgatour.com. Birdie counts will be retroactive to January 1, 2006. That PGA TOUR ends in November.
Also, please notice the wonderful items you may receive for your participation including a golf bag tag, a monthly e-blast from Zach discussing his tournament play, or an autographed photo. And, for the 100 most generous contributors, AEGON will host a year-end dinner celebration with Zach and Kim at Elmcrest Country Club in Cedar Rapids.
