To help raise awareness about the often overlooked signs of domestic violence, Waypoint created a campaign called the 10 Red Flags of Domestic Violence. These red flags have been identified as key indicators of an abusive relationship, and by making them better-known, Waypoint is helping to reduce the occurrence of domestic violence within our community.
Consider sharing the 10 Red Flags of Domestic violence with your co-workers or community members. This life-changing information can help connect individuals experiencing domestic violence with the services and resources to flee abusive partners. Waypoint's Domestic Violence Victim Services offer a variety of options to overcome the effects of domestic violence and perform effective safety planning.
If you or your group would like material or more information about the 10 Red Flags of Domestic Violence campaign, please contact Brittany Appleton at (319) 365-1458, ext. 6118 firstname.lastname@example.org.
Although similar to the 10 Red Flags of Domestic Violence, the 10 Red Flags of Dating Violence are distinct in the way they typically apply to younger individuals and are often pre-cursors to future acts of domestic violence. Some of these red flags include constant put-downs and explosive temper.
If someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, there are many ways to help. Waypoint provides free, comprehensive domestic violence services, ranging from advocacy to safety planning. See our full list of Domestic Violence Support Services.
