Teaching skills to help individuals become good tenants

Supplying individuals in need with certification showing their reliability, the Tenant Academy is a valuable tool for attaining permanent housing. Many times, homeless individuals need to build their rental resumes before landlords consider them viable tenants, and there aren't always many opportunities to do so.

To help fill the gap, Waypoint hosts the Tenant Academy, available based on demand, to show landlords that participants have what it takes to be good tenants.

The next course will be held:

Feb. 9, 16, and 23 from 9 a.m. - noon (participants who complete all three sessions will receive a hygiene kit for their household on Fri., Feb. 23). Located at the Ladd Library, 3750 Williams Blvd. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404
