Help Waypoint raise awareness about homelessness and promote housing stability in our community. This impactful event features photo opportunities, ribbon tying, and an optional post-hike lunch!
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to the forecasted thunderstorms on the original day of the event, we made the difficult decision to reschedule the Hiking for Housing event for Sunday, Oct. 13 to ensure everyone's safety. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding. All previously purchased tickets and registrations will be honored on the new date. Trail options
You will choose between three different hiking trails*:
- Trail 1: Waypoint Trail - 3.3 miles
- Trail 2: Stumptown Trail - 2 miles
- Trail 3: Overlook Trail - 1.3 miles
*All trails are dog-friendly!
Event schedule
Pre-Check-in (Optional):
- Date: Oct. 11th, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
- Location: Waypoint 5th Street front desk
- Note: Skip the line, grab your shirt, and show up ready to hike on the 22nd!
Day of Event:
- Check-in: Oct. 13th, 10:00 - 10:45 a.m. at Mount Trashmore front entrance
- Hike: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- Post Event: Enjoy an after-event lunch at Pickle Place in Cedar Rapids with fellow participants. (Meal prices are not included in your ticket purchase)
