SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AT RISK OF EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS THROUGH ACCESS TO RESOURCES AND PROACTIVE SOLUTIONS
Homeless Prevention and Diversion
Homeless Prevention/Diversion Programs can support households that are in the initial stages of experiencing a housing crisis. Prevention efforts focus on those who are at risk of homelessness, but are not yet experiencing literal homelessness. Diversion programs can assist households experiencing a housing crisis by finding alternatives to emergency shelters. This approach focuses on conversations with households to determine what resources they have available and how the organization can best support them.
